Pan Asian in Red
The collages of my father and his peers influenced me to revisit collaging for this latest project. Subjects included in my collages are vintage photos of Chinatowns in Vancouver and San Francisco, a detail of the 2nd Century BC funeral banner for Xin Zhui, newspaper clippings of the recent Umbrella Movement in Hong Kong, paintings of Tibetan and Japanese goddesses and a detail from one of my cherry blossom watercolours.
