Building a tree fort, spreading a picnic blanket, establishing a campsite: these are all ways of re-creating and feeling at home in nature. We are fortunate in BC to have so many wonderful natural areas for recreation. This textile/mixed media piece depicts a summer retreat on Vancouver Island.
